Estate agents and show homes need different tours

A virtual tour for show homes does a different job from one on a listing. An agent with many houses to sell and a developer selling from one show home want different things.
Listings: Matterport
Matterport suits high-volume listings. An agent can buy the camera, capture each house themselves and put the tour beside the photographs on the listing. The tour shows the layout and the size of each room, which is what a listing needs. For that work it is the sensible choice.
A show home: Walkspace
Walkspace suits a show home, or a development sold on one space. There the show home is the sale: the kitchen finish, the light in the living room, the view from the main bedroom. A buyer walks the floor rather than jumping between fixed photographs, so a worktop edge stays sharp and a window keeps its view as they cross.
The tour sits on the development's own site, in its colours. The monthly report shows where visitors went and which enquiries your own site confirmed. One show home can stand in for every plot built to that house type.
Which one to book
If the house is one of many you list this month, book Matterport and shoot it yourself. Book a walkable tour when one show home has to sell every plot of its house type until the last one goes, or when a premium listing sells on its finish and its light.
Compare the two side by side, or read how a tour compares with photographs.
