London: travel and grants for venues
London is 240 miles from Blackpool by road, the longest regular trip we make. The capture is priced the same as it is anywhere else; only the travel and the night away below are added.
What travel adds to the quote
We are based in Blackpool and drive to every capture. The first 30 miles each way are free; after that it is 45p a mile, charged on the round trip. Past 200 miles we always stay the night, and the quote adds it at cost, £95 a night.
Venues we expect to capture here
Most London venues that hire out space are chosen by people who have not been inside yet: livery halls and private members' clubs, galleries and museums that host evening events, and rooftop bars booked for launches. Corporate planners often shortlist from a desk, so a walk-through saves them a trip across town.
Grants a venue here can use
- Heritage Fund, £10,000 to £250,000, no deadline. A livery hall, a historic church or a museum can put a 3D record of its interiors into a heritage bid.
- Arts Council Project Grants, £1,000 to £100,000, decided in 12 to 14 weeks. A gallery or theatre can cost audience access work into a project.
Each grant is paid to the venue, and we invoice the venue as its supplier.
